Snow Globe
Acrylic on birch panel | 16 x 16 inches | 2024 | $400
From my Second Chance series, Snow Globe is an exercise in taming whimsy. Circular forms float across the surface like bubbles in suspension, or tiny worlds shaken into motion — an echo of those childhood snow globes we’d tip and swirl, watching the storm inside. Layers of colour and texture peek through each shape, remnants of an earlier painting given new life. The loose, gestural brushwork in the foreground holds it all together — not too neatly — just enough to suggest that play and structure can coexist.
This piece is for the collector who loves a little wonder with their order. Someone who understands that joy can be both spontaneous and carefully built, like a kaleidoscope that rearranges itself with every turn.
