Whimsical abstract painting by Tamara Grand featuring overlapping organic and geometric shapes, lively colour contrasts, and textured layers revealing earlier marks.

Everything, Everywhere (Almost)

Acrylic on birch panel | 24 x 24 inches | 2025 | $650

Everything, Everywhere (Almost) is the most light-hearted piece in this extension of the Fractured Harmony series — a playful nod to the way my studio brain can sometimes spin in every direction at once. The composition brings together the same collage-inspired contrasts as its companions, but with a looser, more mischievous energy: bold shapes bumping up against softer passages, bursts of colour brushing past muted veils, and unexpected textures surfacing where I least intended them.

As with the rest of the series, the process is layered and exploratory. I scrape back, rebuild, shift direction, and follow threads that appear mid-stroke. Earlier decisions peek through new layers, creating a lively conversation between what I planned and what emerged on its own. That tension — between intention and surprise — is exactly what gives the piece its spark.

The title is a wink at my own creative tendencies: the impulse to chase every idea, juggle multiple approaches, and let all my artistic selves show up at once. Everything, Everywhere (Almost) captures that joyful chaos, but tempers it with enough structure to keep the whole composition singing.

For collectors who appreciate spirited abstraction, vibrant shape-play, and a sense of movement that borders on mischievous, this piece offers a bright, energizing moment in the series — a reminder that experimentation can be both thoughtful and fun.
